im currently using the Fiio E17 & E09K DAC/AMP combo. im looking to upgrade this for better sound. can someone list some worthy upgrades? dont have a budget, just looking for the best portable dac/amps

You could consider my combo for my Senn HD650. I'm very sastisfied, and It's a big upgrade from my previous E12+hifimediy dac.

Cayin C5 Amp + Ibasso Dac. You don't get the optical input, but everything else is there, big power from Cayin and a pretty decent DAC from Ibasso.

The new iBasso D-Zero Mk2 sound amazing for its price. I pair them with my Sennheiser HD 695 and all i can say is that the D-Zero MK2 sounds amazing! They are an absolute steal for the price. The sound they produce is beyond its price range.
