I was considering a RSA Tomahawk, but I realized it'd be best if I had an amp with a built-in DAC. I'm getting Shure E530s soon(so I want it to go well with those), and I'd like to spend ~$300(although I could go a little higher). The Corda MOVE sounds great, but it must not be made any more? Also Headroom's Total Bithead clear sounds good, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated

There are a number of meet impressions on the Pico and Predator. You will want to include them in your search. Look for the last Florida, NY and Chicago meets impressions.

I would look at the thread on the iBasso D1. It offers usb and optical or coax input. You can play with the opamps to taylor the sound and there are many options for input and output. From what I have read it sounds better than the Move. As mentioned above the Predator will be coming out and there is the Pico and a new amp/dac by iBasso that has usb input that will b e less than 200 clams and much smaller than the D1. There are getting to be a number of choices. Great fun. I would like to get a Predator but I like optical in.

The DAC on the move isn't that great, but the amp is fantastic for the price and size. From what I've heard, the iBasso is the opposite (although somebody who has had both would have to confirm this since I've never heard the iBasso personally).

You can change the opamps on the amp section of the D1 and it can become very good. Also, they are shipping the D1 now, from what I understand, with upgraded opamps. Many choices, great fun.
