best portable amp for use with Mr Speakers Alpha Dog

The Cayin C5 or Fiio E12 are obvious candidates for more power. I have not heard the Alpha Dogs, but their sensitivity rating seems to be 98db, which the X3 ought to do OK with. Are you finding the X3 is not driving them well at your listening volume? Or just looking to add an amp because you want to add an amp?

Alpha Dogs sound sensational on an E12. Just an observation I made about a month ago when I did a listening test with some friends.

I am looking for more bass, loudness "oomffff"

I have a Fiio e7 but it doesnt cut it for me on loudness and sound depth.

I see I was wrong. You have the X5, right? So if you increase the bass with whatever EQ it has, it doesn't give you enough? And are you using it on high gain?

Did you adjust the gain switch on the E12? You get even more power if you do.
