Best place to buy/try headphones in LA

I'm deciding between a couple pairs of headphones, and I wanted to at least try them on before making a final purchase, are there any places near LA that allow you to do that? I was thinking Fry's or maybe even Circuit City.

Specifically, I'm looking for retailers that sell Audio Technica's, Denon's, or AKG's.. Sennheiser's are easier to find but the first three, but the others not so much.

How's the selection at guitar center nowadays? I remember my friend needed something so we went like a year ago in Brea they had nothing to demo. They had a decent amount of headphones but none open to demo, or do you have to ask them?

When I went to Guitar Center, I think I remember seeing some Beyers and some Audio-Technicas. Not sure what else.

You're much better off going to DXC Store in Culver City. They're very helpful and friendly there and have lots of great cans to try. They don't have the HD650 though in case that was on your list.

650 is too pricey for my first set; I'll go and check out DXC sometime this week. Thanks for the input.
