I don't usually use neutral IEMs as they may sound boring for general music listening, most consumer IEMs are tuned to the harman curve or V shaped as such.
But I do have a set that I use for stage monitoring occasionally that is quite neutral - the Hisenior B5+. 5 Knowles BA, retails ~ $80 USD. It has no elevated bass and has treble roll off, as such it is very non fatiguing. It has good details/clarity/imaging/instrument separation and has excellent timbre and tonality.
Over ear with no microphonics. It has slightly boosted lower mids which is quite atypical in most IEM tuning. But this set takes to EQ very well, so u can lower or boost certain frequencies as u deem fit. In fact I'm a bass head and I usually EQ my bass up with this set due to the neutral bass.
I think they are only available on aliexpress (there's a huge sale coming up on 11/11). They have an inhouse audio engineer with them that can tune the IEM to whatever sound signature u prefer (at no extra costs) and they can do custom shells also. I had quite good customer support and communication previously from speaking to them.

conserning the etymotic, the cord doesnt seem to go over the ear, i need that for the microphonics problem. could it be wore that way, and would it stay up that way? because its missing the moldable plastic that would keep it behind the ears.
In my experience, the only way to consistently remove microphonics is to wear it over ears. If the IEM design is only worn cable down u can use a cable shirt clip to minimize microphonics but over ear wearing is still better for microphonics.
Or u can get better aftermarket cables that have less microphonics than stock cables. YMMV.
i have over ear right now, i havnt used earbuds with rubber plugs in years. i remember i would even get microphonics from the sound of my foot hitting the ground when walking. it would trasmit that blow up through my body into the sound.
ear buds need that tight rubber plug to have any bass, but the same thing that trasmits the bass is what transmits the microphonics too. so its a catch22
perhaps ear buds are a flawed technology.
over ear may be the only solution, but even active noise cancelling lowers sound quality ive read.
so the only real solution is maybe something like the 3M WORK TUNES. really good passive noise cancelling for an over ear design. but nobody makes a high quality one. so its an untapped market i guess so far.
