Best musical cans ~$200 for rock

I want something aggressive, something that'll emphasize the music in huge colorations.

Nothing flat, nothing for analyzing music. I want to enjoy it. I want the coloration. Any recommendations?

yeah, I was leaning grado. (previous owner of SR60, HF-1) but if I go grado, I'd want something more upper line (metal cups) and that's a tad hard for my budget.

well, if you want a metal cup grado, keep an eye on the FS forum. You'll sometimes see the old style SR-325 & MS-2 for around that price.

I really think that at this price point, none will serve you better than the SR-225. Don't dismiss them just because they've got plastic cups.

I know there are more than a few here that prefer the 225 to the 325i.
