remember in "apocolypse now" how they played wagner to scare the vietcong? if you were going into battle and you got to choose the music that would blast the enemy with 10,000 watt amps, what would it be?

my choice:
metallica: damage inc. (from "master of puppets")

POD - Whatever it Takes
Outkast - B.O.B.
RATM - Calm Like a Bomb

hmmm... that's what immediately springs to mind.

It's obvious, only one choice....

-edit-
i got food poisoning at dinner before i saw walküre and missed the third act. are you talking about "flight of the walküries"? because that's what they used in "apocolypse now".

Yes, the music used in the movie (much better
with the singing, btw).

I also thought the opening to
"21'st Century Schizoid Man" would
be sufficiently awe inspiring.

[EDIT] I'm listening to this now.
Forgot how good a job Solti did
with the Ring. Birgit Nilsson is
a splendid Br&#252nnhilde.

Listen to Britten's War Requiem first, and you'll never want to go into battle again.

Some Rush would definitely kill off a whole army.

Richard Hell & Voidoids - Love Comes In Spurts ...

. Oh no, it hurts indeed

.

How about some new Metallica to soften up the enemy first?

Here's one for the psychos...

(think of Big Shot from The Tick on a machine gun with tears of joy streaming down his face):

Ode To Joy.

is anyone going to listen to my choice? (just curious)

I will in a little while... I'm almost at the end of the game. There are really a bunch of good choices for this question. But, my sentimental favorite is FF IV : The Dreadful Battle.
