Hi everyone,

Well I've been bitten by the headphone bug and now finally have a decent array of phones and an amp coming. Now the interconnects. What's the best mini to mini cable for my Pana 570/CHA-47?

Welcome to Head-Fi. This is a pretty common question, however. Try the search engine -- you'll find several fairly recent strings right on point.

(For the best sound for the money, go for Markertek unless you need right-angle plugs.)

I agree on the Markerteks.
I bought the Straightwire from Headroom though.

I'm not sure why Audio & Me has not yet replied to this post. Wayne at Bolder makes custom cables. For the best quality, that's probably the route to go. A&M had a custom mini to mini cable made for his cha47 and then recently also got a mini to RCA cable from Bolder. I likewise have a mini to RCA cable from him. He uses high quality parts and known/respoected formulas.

Both the mini-mini and mini-rca cables that I got made by wayne are of excellent quality. The sound quality speaks for itself, amazing how a cable can drastically help even portable systems sound better (weak source such as my pana570). These cables are quite neutral and forgiving yet maintains detail. They certainly get my approval. They are however really stiff, I don't think you'd be using these with a traveler bag, lol.

*My cables are 3" long, and I use a large backpack (L.L. Bean Continental Rucksack), so there is plenty of room for them...

ive been reading alot of comparisons between the markertek, kimber, striaghtwire and bolders.

Does anyone know how the Oehlbach mini-mini supplied with the porta corda stack up against them?
