Out if my Spinfits, jvc spiral, and Azla sedna earfitLight, and whirlwinds.

My earfitLight seems to work best with most iems; not affecting bass. Of course some iems need tip rolling to have a better attenuated sound, then I can't use the Azla sednas.

Whirlwinds style tips give best isolation after foams.

I noticed I need smaller sizes for the Sedna EarfitsLight than my other brand tips.

Also why would someone want a shorter tip? Should I keep a set in my drawer? Normally I am trying to get a deeper insertion with universals.

@Infoseeker cause sometime an iem have a long stem already and by having the long tip it will shift the resonance peak of the iem, making is sounds brighter.

Aah...so that is why my Noble Falcons came with such short eartips.

Oh yeah, that is also why we cut off the excess foam in comply tips when needed?

Whenever I can if tips are mentioned I post about the Earfits because I’m in this hobby for years and years and just found out about them a few months back. These isolate the best for me and sound like foams without the negatives foams can bring. They are extremely well made and super sturdy but feel very soft to me. I have some M’s and ML’s, 6 pair at nearly $50 total an amount I’d have never considered spending on tips but they are perfect for me, I’ll rotate them in and out until I win the Lottery and next time I’ll try the other styles maybe.
The nozzle length thing is a problem when the tips slide up and down because there is a relatively large sound change in different positions on the stem. The T800’s taught me all kinds of new stuff especially with tips, they are the most tip affected IEMs I have ever heard or owned in my lifetime (62 end of February).
I bought Starfields as my present and they arrive tomorrow and first tips I’ll try are Azla’s!

Can I have a link please

Final Audio Black Silicone Eartips Fits 1More, AKG, Audio-Technica, Beats by Dre, Campfire Audio, Empire Ears, Sony (5-Pairs, Multi) 4.5mm to 5.5mm
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HWS6GFZ

While they fit 5mm nozzles, they are the opposite of horns; they get narrower in the inside. So they ultimately push bass, and reduce treble.

I also recently got a pair of TWS that have a relatively large nozzle size with no lip. Similar to the moondrop a8 or the audiosense t800. I prefer foam tips and I'm not a fan of how Comply tips are basically consumables. I poked around on AE for a bit and found Anjirui has some large bore tips meant for 6.5-7.5mm nozzles. I've ordered those too.

Well, the other large bore foam tips I've been waiting for showed up today. They are shorter than the others I recently received (as expected) and have a larger I.D. which means less expansion once mounted. I.D. is about 6.3mm and fits 6.5-7.5mm diameter stems.

I'm pretty happy with them, they fit like I expected. My right ear usually requires a small size and shallow insertion to reach that 1st bend in my ears.

I may mix and match with the other foam tips which seem to work better for my left ear.
