I am looking to purchase some cans for my fiancee as we are about to have multiple flights, each several hours long. She really likes the look of white headphones. Her genres consist of pop, country, rock, and some hip-hop. Closed headphones would be the best, with a decent amount of bass. Over ear or on ear does not matter. Only pair I can find are the white M50s.

I have the JVC HA-S500-Z version (next model up) and they are amazing but they don't come in white.

I don't know much about those. Does anyone else have any experience with those headphones?

I've seen some used v moda lp whites in my price range. Also have seen Sony zx600 and Sony v55.

The only ones I have some experience with is the v modas, but I had the m100s.

JVC S400 or S600 , both suit your needs.

S600 are by far more comfortable and with a bit of EQ (altough for many people it's not needed), SQ is easily on pair with S400

After some testing I came to conclusion that sub-bass can go practically as deep as on XB500 (when both EQed + E6), so this is basically as far as it gets with any HP, I'am sure they considerably beat M50s in this aspect (bass wise), just like DT770s. So if bass is important to great degree, this is the right, wallet friendly way to go, S400/S600 depending on preference.

I'm really pleased with the Incase Sonics.  For $80 they're hard to beat.  Read some reviews and try 'em out -- you'll be pleasantly surprised.
