Hi guys,

New here, and I wanted to know what the best headphones I could get for under 140$ -150$. I'd like them to be fairly aesthetic (I like how Beats by Dre Solo look like but too many people have them and I've read they're not worth the price). Hopefully something that's not too big.

1) They need to be wireless (bluetooth if possible) so that I can also use them on my laptop if needed though I'll mainly be using it on my Android phone.
2) Need to have a mic. for calls
3) Will be mainly used for rap/hip hop.
4) Also, noise cancellation would be nice.

Really wireless? That really limits your headphone choices and then you want them to look nice? Not going to happen. I would recommend the AT M50's or the V-Moda M80's.

The MEElectronics Air-Fi AF32 are the only pair of headphones that would fit your wants, except for the noise cancellation. Not sure about the sound quality though, but it shouldn't be too bad.

People keep recommending M50's to me! Are they really that good? I would even disregard the wireless part for them if they had a mic. I really would like something with a mic. What would you recommend if I said they could be wired but need to have a mic? Not digging the V-Moda M80 in terms of looks.

Like usual, they always tell you "bang for your buck", "good for it's price", "awesome features", etc. It's worth a try, even if you feel that they are lacking the first time you try them on, their sound quality and signature will grow on you, of course unless it's made of 99% distortion and sibilance.
 
EDIT: They also come in 3 colours! Black/red, black, and white.

They do seem like a good bang for the buck but I'm reading mixed reviews on the sound quality. Any other recommendations?

Sorry for the double quote but I have a question if someone doesn't mind helping me out.

It says I can add a Bluetooth wireless receiver/amplifier for 30$? Does this make it so I can make it a wireless set? I'm guessing I'd need to get the removable cable version for that? Am I correct in assuming these? If so, would that hinder quality?

The ATH-M50s I have are nice and all, but they are a bit bulky to hold around. If you don't get it modded, the cable is long as hell. The pleather pads dry out in 3 months or less, so you will have to get those replaced for best experience. They are one of the best sounding headphones I have heard for $170 (in Canada), but as everyone says, recessed in the mids. I'm not sure how the Bluetooth wireless receiver works, but I'm sure since you are attaching that thing externally, you will have this square hanging, and will need to put it somewhere since it acts as your amp and DAC. Your best bet is to purchase a removable cable modded one with a mic and control wire if you want the M50s. If you want something light, consider IEMs. The V-Moda M80s are also a good choice, they don't look too bad, and they are considered to be on par, if not a bit better than the M50s.

Hey. I'm a long-time reader on here, and don't really post much because I'm not much of an audiophile (I know, I know). I just got the AF32's and they are fantastic. I have used all kinds of earbuds, my favorites being Shures, regular headphones most recently being Sennheiser px200's and HD218's. I've been sick of wires for a while and wanted wireless headphones and found the AF32's. I listen to a lot of hip hop and classic rock and so far, they sound great. Are there headphones that sound better? I'm sure, but for the $67 I paid for them, I think they're a tremendous bargain. I would definitely recommend them.
