Best Headphones under $100 Without an Amp?

Creatve Arvuna Live! (not v2 as those cost more than $100).
Logitech UE6000 are available for under $100 at a few places right now.

Creatve Arvuna Live! vs NVX Audio XPT100

I've heard great things from both actually, and CAL! are only $60 on amazon.com

On a side note, does amazon.ca have anything? I mean come on.

Oh God, he's right. The UE6000's are better than the ATH-M50's in my opinion, didn't know they were under $100 on Amazon right now.
Forget me suggesting the ATH-M50's when the Logitechs are available for less money.

It's probably worth pointing out that even if a headphone doesn't strictly require an amp, all headphones will benefit from the use of an amp. Using software volume adjustments from your computer or portable device can introduce distortion and compromise the quality of the music you are hearing.

On the flip side even headphones that are strongly recommended to be used with an amp can sound just fine without one, so if you have a headphone in mind already that does "require" an amp it might be worth it to just get it now and fill in the amp later.

They have Senn HD558 for $171.00 right now. That's a good price and I got futureshop to match it plus a further $2.80 off. :)

amazon Canada did have Arvuna Live v2 shipped from Japan but now they show nothing.

futreshop has UE6000 for $99.00 but looks to be out of stock at the moment.

This Canadian store has Shure SRH440 for $89.00 which are decent headphones.

I'm confused at ^^^^^^^^^^^.

are you voting for the hm5 clones or the JVC????????????

on a side note, I can't seem to find many reviews on the JVC HA-S680, they seem interesting, but I can't judge headphones when I've only found like 2 reviews.

The HA-S680 is basically the ATH-M50 but the bass is slightly less muddy, although it's also a lot more overpowering.

The Fischer Audio FA-003 = Brainwavz HM-5 = NVX XTP100.  Sorry I miss-typed that reply lol
