I could definitely be happy with only KSC75 for all my listening needs 'til I die, so long as nobody around me's trying to watch tv or concentrate!! That's when I'd need the MDR-V6 or possibly DT-770/880.

I'd like to resurrect this thread instead of starting a new one. Anyone care to chime in with stuff that's come out in the last 8 years?

Like to throw in my vote for the JVC SZ2000 for hip hop. EQed and properly powered of course, but I didn't even like this genre til I got them setup. Now, it's literally a slamming good time for me.

They are also excellent for games and movies when set up properly with a bass boosting amp. A truly cinematic experience with rumbling bass and big soundstage if the source calls for it.
