What are the best headphones for watching movies? I was thinking of getting either the HFI-700 DVD or Proline 650 (which is better in this regard?). Any suggestions???

I think the HD650 would be ideal cause of it's bass and large soundstage. The sound would not cause fatique or discomfort so it'll last you throughout the movie, and then some. But I feel a good amp is in order here...

I am very happy with the HFI700 DVD for movies. Highly recommended.

I saw a thread here where the Proline 650 had to have dynamat and felt installed inside to sound good. But, my 700's don't need any changes at all. This morning I spent 2 hours listening to all my headphones in my sig - the Shure E500/SE530 are the only ones I like as much or better than my HFI700's! The E4c come in third place, Denon C700 fourth.

However, the HFI 700 had better imaging with a movie.

For a no-object DVD movie headphone, consider the Sennheiser Surrounder.

For a stereo headphone, anything decent is as good as anything else decent, all that happens is that the tone changes.
