Ok, I've been trying to narrow down my search, but everytime, I seem to eliminate one, and add another.

They're going to be used with my hp laptop, I listen to rap/hip hop mostly. They have to be $50 or less shipped.

the ones I'm looking at currently:

px100
px200
ksc-35

What should I go with? I'm also open to other suggestions.

Sorry for being a wiseguy but after I saw Guyferd's and Bangraman's posts I couldn't resist.

I like the PX200s for various reasons:

Great sound for a little headphone! If you can find the "sweet spot", as some folks seem to have trouble getting a proper fit, they have more than enough bass for hip hop and have a sweet midrange that makes guitars and male vocals sound great. Highs can be a little exaggerated but I wouldn't say they were harsh. Very cool rock headphones but I find them enjoyable with classical as well.

Ultraportable. They fold up into a neat little carrying case.

Comfortable. Their small size is a big plus when they sit on your head for a few hours. You hardly notice they're there.

Closed. This is a matter of application. If you're going to be using them with a laptop you may be using them while traveling, in the library or in other places where there are people around. With the other two headphones people will definitely hear your music.

The KSC-35 and PX100 will in my opinion make you shake your thing more than the PX200.

Out of those two I chose the PX100 because it comes with an excellent protective case, you can take off the phone and wear it around your neck (slightly uncomfortably but what the heck) when not in use, it sounds quite similar to the KSC-35 which is good, and last but not least in the eyes of many, it looks better.

If you do need some degree of blocking of outside noise or if you don't want to screw others off with your mut********ng music, then the PX200 is a much better idea since it blocks some sound both in and out.

hmm.....well the 200's are 35 shipped, and the 100's are 40 shipped.....many like both, although many that have heard both say that the 100's sound better, but may bother others with them on.....

Have you looked into Grado SR40? They're about $50 shipped ($40 + shipping)

ok, I've ben waiting a few days to let things process.....and read other threads. I've read a few about the v6's....and they sound like perfect headphones for me.

would these be good for me(assuming I can find some used ones for 50 bux or less shipped)?

The V6 would not be my first choice when listening to rap and hip/hop. I think you'd like a brighter headphone better.

The V6's are pretty damn bright. Very bassy too.
