source is my computer, i have a nuforce icon amp, and i listen to everything but my main music preference (like 90% of my music) is rap/hiphop/r&b.

+1. Ultrasone Pro 900 are great phones. I have the 750s, and hope to acquire the 900s too at some point. I've heard that some people prefer the 750s, but in general the 900s take preference.

Under $500, the Sennheiser HD-600 is the best all-around headphone with the best tonal balance. You can find it used for $200 or so. For $500, I'd pair it with the Dynalo, one of the finest and most neutral amps on the market. You'd have to spend a lot more to better that combination.

Overall, I'd go with the K702. If you're looking for powerful bass, judging by your music genre preference, then the Ultrasone Pro 900 are probably your best bet.
