Depends on what you need. Portable/Closed/Open, etc?
EDIT: As just an opinion, I'd say the MS1 would be the best open under $150, and the Grado SR225 would follow the next price step up.

i want to use it with my ipod and laptop and i won't be using any amp.i don't care about it being open or closed.

sr 60, sr 80, sr 225, hd 555, hd 595.
if you dont care as much for the sound, go with the sr 60 and that will leave you some room for a cheapo cmoy amp. once you realise how good a headphone sounds and how much better it could sound even with a relatively cheap cmoy amp, im sure you might change your mind. i know i did
