They are going to be powered by the Astro Mixamp, for use on the xbox 360.
I have the A40 Headset, tested it today on what I believed to be a 'safe' volume and footsteps sounded like dead silence does on the higher volumes, basically it's way too hard to hear them.
I've got a radioshack SPL meter coming next week, so I'll be able to tell more or less if the volume I was testing at was too low, it was at the point where my xbox 360 was overpowering the game sound but then again they are 'semi-open' headphones I believe.
