Hey guys so just a little question that I would like to ask because my main set of earbuds just broke. I would like to get a new set of earphones that range from $50-$100 that can deliver the best sound for my taste. I've previously owned the Klipsch S4i-II and they were a nice pair that I've enjoyed. However, I would like to try similar earphones but at the same time be something new. My main taste in music is rock, metal (a lot of genres of metal), jazz, electro swing and occasionally electro house. I was wondering what might be the best pair of earphones that are in the price range of $50-$100.

Some bands I listen to:
- Metallica
- Rise Against
- Rage Against the Machines
- Godsmack
- Frank Sinatra
- Louis Armstrong
- Jamie Berry (electro swing)
- Breaking Benjamin
- Hands like Houses
- Beartooth
- Silverstein
- One ok Rock
- Thousand Foot Krutch
- Starset
- Slipknot
and a lot others but I sometimes listen to bands like Of Mice&Men, Bring Me the Horizon, Asking Alexandria, Escape the Fate, and The Protomen.

Thanks in advanced!

*EDIT: I would really like for them to in ear because I will mainly use them while I'm on the road. However I really do appreciate the suggestion so far. Definitely gonna check them all out.

There is tons of topics like this on head-fi. A simple search should find you some.
Maybe there is something in the buying guide?
If you want new earbuds, check this.

Things I would look into:

Full size
Audio-Technica ATH-M30 (Or see if you can find a used m50)
Grado SR80i (although these have a rather specific sound signature)
Sennheiser HD215
AKG K550 (?)

Buds
Shure SE215
Sony MH1C
HifiMan's offerings. They all seem pretty great.

Onkyo ES-CTI300 for $60 on Woot:

I don't think you can find a better price/performance deal at the moment. Might be ending tonight.

Here's a review of the version without the volume/talk controls cable:
