Best desktop amp for Markl-modded D-5000? How about Darths?

Hi all--

I'm looking for opinions about what you've found to be the best head amp combo for Markl'd D-5000's, and also V3 Darth Beyers. Right now, I've got a Little Dot Mk IV SE (stock tubes), and a Lisa III. The Darth/LD combo not surprisingly lacks brightness. The Darth/Lisa III combo is better, but it still feels like the phones are holding something back, particularly in the upper midrange.

I know the Markl's are recommended for use with SS amps (as are the Darths), but if anyone has tube rolling suggestions for the LD to brighten up the Darths, that would be great.

Your thoughts?

i would not avoid tubes if you generally like them.

The denons love a tube amp as long as it can drive them to your desired volume level cleanly.
