I've got an almost 4 year old pair of SR-80i's and in thinking it's about time for new ear pads. Between the stock S cush, L cush and G cush and maybe 3rd party brands, what's the best cushion to throw on these? I'd like to increase the comfort a little if that's possible.

Take the stock L-Cush pad and wrap tape around the side of the pad.  I use electrical tape as it is the right width, blends in well enough (black on black) and sticks very well.

You may want to try scotch tape or something light like that originally in case you don't like it.  I'm not sure if electrical tape will peel off cleanly and not wreck the pad.

It adds a bit of extra bass.  Comfort won't really change over stock L-Cush though.

Right on. I've got a couple L-Cushes coming in the mail. I'll have to mod one up like that. What's the deal with G-Cushes? Has anyone tried them on SR-80s?
