i'm thinking about buing some new headphones.
i work a lot with studio stuff, and i'm a DJ as well, so they need to be:

- closed
- not too uncomfy around the neck
- detachacle cable, and/or a cable suitable for studio and dj'ing (coiled or not too short)
- comfortable
- slightly portable

my current headphones are the AUDIO TECHNICA ATH M-50

Any sugestions?

I've heard the Beyerdynamic DT770 at the weekend at a friend of mine (he has a studio).

He is using it for mixing.

I'm also a DJ and I am currently thinking about to buy me some of these cans. They have a nice neutral sound and a very nice bass (not too much). They also fit very very well and have a coiled cable.

I had a Ultrasone HFI680 before and the Beyers are 100 times better than these in every aspect.

But I don't know if it's too big for you!?

well, it's a good option, and i know the audio quality on them are awesome.

if the earcups on them could swivel it would fit, but because they dont, i would probably have truble with them around the neck

But as a DJ, what do you think about the Senneiser momentum?

Thnx for replying btw

Hey dude, you're welcome...

As I know, the Momentum is a pure prestige/design headphone. Never heard them. But I don't think it's a good can for Mix sessions...

If you want a headphone for DJ'ing I think you can give the Amperior a try (or the classic Sennheiser HD 25 II or the HD 215)

These are all DJ cans with swivelling earcups as far as I know.
