Hey guys, I'm looking for the best closed headphone for under $200 maybe around 150 or less? I don't want anyone to listen to my music like they have been with my previous now sold Beats by Dr Dre Studio Edition.... God those things were overpriced and ridiciously bassy... anyway I would like the best headphone in that price range. The source will most likely be a Zune HD. I havent purchased it yet. I'm coming here first. Its either the Zune HD or the Sony Walkman X... but god the walkman x is so overpriced... Anyway please help guys! P.S. I'm not going to be buying an amp. I just want an unamped great music experience with balanced crisp lows, mids , highs, hearing all details. Is that possible for that price range? I heard the AT M50's were great.. I'll stop rambling now. Please help guys. Thanks!

Well, you're kinda posting in the wrong forum, but I've heard good things about the Shure SRH840.

The other 2 big eligible recommendations are probably the ES7 ($90-ish) and the V6 ($75-ish). I really enjoy my V6 straight out of my Zune HD, but the V6s seem to have a somewhat divided reception here. This surprises me as I like them very much. I am, however, curious about the D1001/Creative Aurvana Live.

FYI, the Creative Aurvana Live--which is said to be similar or identical in sound (it uses the same drivers) to the D1001-- is only $55 on Costco's site. You might want to do a search for them on Head-fi. Also, the D1000S is only $99 on Amazon--I think the only difference from the D1001 is the 1001 has a travel bag. Almost $50 additional for a cloth bag is pretty steep.

I would say about $160.00 new and about $120.00 used, but retail is $200.00

The Sony MDR-V900HD can be had for under $200, and it's quite easy to power - it'll go perfect w/the Zune HD. I wish I still owned mine (Z:HD), as I'd have loved to test that combo out myself.
