Best closed-back over-ear < $1K headphones?

Looking to maybe buy a new headphone, thinking of closed back. What is the best <$1K over-ear headphone out there currently? I like rumbly bass that extends deep, but don't like V-shaped headphones otherwise. So neutralish/harman curve with great bass.

Oh and they need to be supremely comfortable with very large earcups (I have big ears). Many headphones have earcups that are too small and thus get uncomfortable after a while.

The best value currently is
HE-R10 Dynamic Version (open-box) $349 from Hifiman on their black Friday sale
Beyerdynamic DT770 250 ohm open box $108.88 on eBay with bass that thumps all the way down, great for bass heavy stuff.

They're both comfortable and EQ well if you have some power, the Hifiman are easier to drive and the Beyerdynamic leak more sound though (for a closed back). I've had more expensive stuff like the Dan Clark Aeon closed, but didn't enjoy them as much. The DT700 X is also very good, just had a pair last week and they don't have the treble peak of the 770 250ohm, easy to drive too but not as comfortable (pad foam is pretty firm on the 700/900).
