I like these guys when I hear them on the classic rock station, so can anyone recommend a good starter album?

I think there are two chronicle albums. IMO the best studio albums are "Green river" and "Bayou Country" If you are going to get one cd get "The best of CCR" it's a double cd greatest hits that has a ton of good stuff on it.

Slightly OT...
I just picked up the Cosmos Factory SACD. I've been enjoying these guys for thirty-some years but I have never heard them sound as good as on this disc.

cosmos factory
chronicle is nice but being a "best of" cd i tend to stay away
nothing worse than listening to the original cd , liking it enough to listen to it over and over ,get to know it well then listen to a best of compilation
a song you EXPECT to come on next does not !
your mind is already playing song two and song 10 comes on or even worse , a song that is not even on the cd
screws me up every time
