Hey guys. I was wondering which Brainwavz IEM you would recommend to someone who loves bass (used to listening to 12" subwoofers in my car) and listens to rock, electronic, and hip-hop. AFAIK, it would probably be between the M2 and M5. Thanks for your help. Added a poll, 'cause why not.

edit: if recommending others, I'm looking to stay in the ~$60 range. Also, I won't be using an amp.

The tekfusion twinwoofer fits

You may like the ttpod t1e but its not a complete basshead iem. It is considered a near basshead iem.

i've used M4 and R1. R1 requires amp for high volume levels. but M4 is a very ordinary earphone with recessed mids and moderate treble resolution. plus to that, whole soundfield trapped into a small place. R1 on the other hand, completely a different case. both earphones have strong bass but R1 has a wide presentation both on the bass side and the overall sound range. R1's bass feels more complete but without an amp, i don't know what to say... consider something else then.

thank you, I've also read the M4 is the least bass-y of the lineup. The M2 seems to be the one I should go for if I stick with Brainwavz.
I am using them, I can say sound quality is very good. Clarity, Bass everything is present, One thing that i really don't like about these IEM's .. The Cable Quality Sucks

That seems to be the general opinion. can you elaborate on it?

@kcbar58 Regarding sound, I must say bass is not over and present in right amount, Mids and Highs are also very well. Tekfusion are warm sounding phones and don't hurt ears on default eq setings. Cable quality is not good, cable is too thin and feels cheap, I always fears of snapping it while taking out of pocket or even ears, cable is also not tangle free. My main issue is with cable.
