I have a question about the Dolby headphones pioneer 800c and the xb1.
I ordered the pioneer 800c and received them a couple of days ago and was very anxious to try them with both my DVD and my XBOX.
I found that the staging (I’m kind of newbie when it comes to surround headphones so I apologize if the terminology is kind of wrong) was very good but the bass was a big disappointment.
So now I’ve been in contact with Audiocubes (where I ordered the headphones) and I’m in the process of exchanging it for the Pioneer XB1 because of the bass.
My question is if there is anyone who has any experience with both headphones and can tell me if there is a significant difference in the bass area.
I’m also wondering something more basic about surround headphones:
Are the headphones connected to the processing unit “normal” stereo headphones? Can I therefore connect any other headphones to the audio jack of the processing unit and still get surround sound? I have a pair of Sony V700-DJ with very good bass (with my limited experience that is), but when I connected them to the 800c unit many details disappear so I couldn’t say that they where giving me a surround experience.
thank you for any answers.
