I'm looking to buy a new set of over ear headphones that have both a really heavy bass for RnB/Dubstep but at the same time preforms very well in other genres. So far I've tried both the Sennheiser Momentum and the Bose QC15 but both failed to deliver what I wanted from the bass.

Sound card I'll be using: Asus Xonar Essensce STX

Thanks for all the help! :)

As someone who's worn the qc-15s, and the momentums, I can see what you're after.

Personally the pressure of those over-ears & the noise canceling in the qc-15s makes me nauseous.

Have you looked into the TMA-1's by AIAIAI?
They are bass-heavy & boy oh boy can I stand by their utility for dubstep and hip-hop.

Anything from Kavinsky's Outrun to Tool's Lateralus (especially the drums) has a thick punch to it.

I own the on-ear model, though.

The over ears are still $100 less than the over ear momentums, but I'd check if the characteristics or response was changed between the two.

Here is the response curve, if you're into that kind of thing.

Ultrasone HFI-680. Nice and detailed bass but some guys find it's treble a bit aggressive at the beginning. It will depend on the kind of source you have.
