Not sure about what is in their line of headphones at the moment. I have not followed beats in awhile. Have you looked to find the Sennheiser IE8s or IE80s for under $300? If you look hard enough I am sure you could find it.

^this. Bobby. You can do it. If you need help let me know. The ie8/80s are nj your line of sight too.

I really think launching from the Urbeats to $300+ IEM's is silly if he already thinks the Urbeats sound great. There are other options at half that price that do what Beats nominally do (rattling bass with good definition and presence in the mids/highs).

I usually use my Shure SE535 now, but when I am listening to EDM and electronic music I turn to my Denon Urban Raver (Ah-c300), the bass is super punchy. I bought it a year and a half ago for like 250$ but it should be much cheaper now. Not as clear or warm as my Se535, but when it comes to the bass... Raver wins easy. I would also recommend an old favorite of mine, it was like 5-6 years ago but the Ultimate Ear Superfi 5pro, I really liked that one, until it broke and I bought the Se530.

I can personally vouch for the Velodyne vPulse as being my basshead earphone of choice...although if you're willing to pay the extra money, the FutureSonics Atrio MG7 will give you a similar sonic experience with build quality that is, in my experience, a bit more reliable.
