I don't see too many polls for "best album by [artist here]", and this guy may be somewhat unknown to these forums anyways, but i figure i'd make a poll to see the most popular Aphex Twin album here at Head-Fi. I'm only going to include his proper LPs under the Aphex Twin name. I know that leaves out a lot of good material - heck, i'd place Come to Daddy in my top three Aphex works. Anyways, it's real close, but I'd put Selected Ambient Works I as my favorite Aphex work.

I went with Selected Ambient Works I as you didn't list Come To Daddy. That one track, Flim, from Come To Daddy is the best Aphex Twin track I've ever heard. I discovered recently that Flim is slang for a five pound note

Drukqs is definately a good album. I had to pick Richard D. James because it comes across as being on of the most emotionally intense albums I've heard, especially since so much of electronica is geared towards anonymity.

It took me a while to decide, but I finally went with Selected Ambient Works vol 1 because while it doesn't have my favorites songs on it it is a solid collection, and I enjoy each track. A close second is the Richard D. James Album.

All these votes for Selected Ambient Works II has rekindled my interests in it. By the way, for you fans of that album, there are two tracks cut from the US version - they are sometimes known as "Hankie" and "Stone in Focus".
