I was reading a bit and see that the M902 is a nice match....Anything better? I don't want any color added. a DAC is not necessary and price needs to be around 2kish.

thnx

Sorry it was an advanced search using "GS-1000" in the title only. There were a few links in there, (including yours) that had amp recommendations for the GS-1000.

I remember reading that the Grado amp paired really well with the GS1K....

....hmmm....Grado amp is the BEST you can do?
I'd like to say what I read about the Grado amp
but I'm gonna keep it nice.

I believe I will not try this amp....I've seen it's innards.
I mean...the wood is pretty but...

...nice review you did, nate(oicdn)...after reading it and comparing
it to your recommendation for the gs1000 amping I have a question:
Do you have a split personality thing going on there?

...cause, y'know.....I'm just sayin'...

Of the amps I have (Canamp, MPX3, GHCA), I much prefer the sound of the PS Audio unit with the GS1000. The GCHA brings out the strengths of the Grado, giving it a nice, tight (although maybe a little bit lean) bass with highs crystal clear and totally black backgrounds.

Give it a listen if you get a chance.
