Best Album Ever?

There is that one song on Mezzanine that sounds totally dumb though....I forget the name, but you know, the dumb one, with the guy and his dumb voice. It is near the end of the album. Trust me, it blows. He sounds like he has been kicked in the jimmy a few too many times. The rest of the album is great though.
As for fitter happier, I think it fits, OK Computer is seamless, I just don't particularly like it.

Horace Andy? one of the finest voices in Reggae?

I guess he's a bit of an acquired taste for those unfamiliar with his other work..

no, I think it is the British guy. He sounds rather decent on the other tracks, but some deep-seeded dorkiness issues forth like a torrent from his lungs on that one song. I wish I had the album here and I would tell you -- unfortunately I am several thousand miles removed from it at the moment.

My offhand guess is that you're thinking of "Man Next Door" which is an acquired taste. Goes something like "there's a man who lives next door, eeeen my neighborhood, eeeen my neighborhood, he gets me dowwwwwn..." -- that one? ^_^ If so, that's Horace Andy.

Another great thing about this album is that it's excellently recorded and makes for a good auditioning CD. Some sound systems do rather horrible things to the bass...my MDR-E282s are handing the album admirably so far though.

Edit: Tina, Glory is a good choice too as film soundtracks go - good call. ^_^

I was auditioning some amps & speakers a few years back.. I brought MEZZANINE and was playing "Risingson" - when the bass came in, the store clerks all asked what I was playing.
They could hear it all over the store..

My best album ever for me,
Radiohead - OK Computer
This album came at the point of time when I was depressed. penniless and jobless. The songs and lyrics really lift my spirit up at that time. whenever I play the cd, it really brings me back the memory of those unforgetable days. Perfect album when you're... let down and hanging around, crushed like a bug on the ground....heheh.

Honourable mentions :

Sigur Rus - () : Always reminds me of post nuclear warfare.
Robert Rich - Trances and Drones : Takes me to medieval earth
Madredeus - O Esperitu Da Pas
Pete Namlook/Dr. Atmo - Silence 1/2
Biosphere - Substrata
