Here is my choice.

Belle-de-Brillet-Pear-Liqueur_9B9F255F.jpg

Belle de Brillet is a Cognac-based liqueur infused with Williams pears grown in the Alsace region of France. Twenty-two pounds of pears are needed to make one bottle.

About $35 and oh, so good. Your mouth is in for a treat on this one.

I'm developing a taste for Averna Amaro after hearing much praise for it within my company and from a few of the better restaraunts I deliver to. It's a bit of a FOTM you could say. Jaegermeister refined is the best way to describe it I guess.

Nothing comes close to a good Port for me. Not really a liqueur though, so ill throw in the vote for Sambuca or maybe Strega there.

A good single malt scotch. Though you need to find one you really love first. Then it really hits the spot after a meal. Hell it hits the spot anytime. Morning, noon, or night.

Oh man, nothing finishes my dinner off much better than a Lagavulin 16 or Talisker 10.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to give that pear cognac a try. Hope I can find it around these parts...

Agreed with the previous two posts. A good single malt that fits your taste is ideal after dinner drink. For me that would usually me a glass of Macallans 12 or Oban 14.

i'm a big single malt fan, but having just returned from mexico, i've been enjoying a fantastic tequila, Gran Centenario Añejo. it's quite reasonably priced for an añejo, and IMHO better than Patrón.

it's a good scotch-drinkers tequila: full-bodied but still smooth. you can really taste the essence of the blue agave. i don't know if it's available in the states, but i highly recommend it.

I discovered my favorite in 1964, and it's been a favorite ever since.

No. 1 on my list has to be Drambuie!

If you like Talisker try and get a hold of a bottle of the Double Matured Talisker Distillers Edition, or the cask strength. Both excellent.

Oooh Gran Centenario Anejo is one of my favorites! I agree, Patron is a bit over-priced. I like Herraduras Anejo also, maybe you'll feel the same. I've only been able to find Gran Centenario at a tequila bar back home (Las Vegas). I haven't been able to find it anywhere else.

Same goes for Herraduras. Currently I only have 1 bottle of tequila, Don Julio Anejo, which is quite nice I must admit. Although, I definitely prefer Gran Centenario or Herraduras.

Oh man... I actually bought a 1992 Distiller's Edition about 1 year ago off of ebay for a rather reasonable $60 + 10. Saving it for graduation come December

I haven't ever seen a Cask Strength Talisker! I would kill for a bottle of one.
