I will mostly be playing EAC/Lame APS mp3's on it.The review on the D-NE300 looked good, but is there a consensous on the best bang for the Buck player? Oh, I have Senn HD-580's and will be getting a cmoy soon.

I haven't heard any other PCDPs, other than just el cheapo ones, (like the memorex MD6885-04 and an old kenwood, they both sound like crud) but the D-NE300 sounds pretty darn good with my HD-650s. I also have a cmoy. Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't. It does add a touch of bass and a touch of treble, extends it if you will.
But, all alone, it sounds pretty good.
I recommend it.

That's good to know that it has enough power to drive high impendance cans without a cmoy.

Does anyone know if theres an issue playing Lame APS mp3's? I could of sworn I read somewhere that anything encoded with 320 kbps wouldn't play well.

(On a side-note, LAME APS is not synonym to 320 kbps. It doesn't even reach that bitrate; Hydrogenaudio says "~190 kbit/s, typical 180 ... 220".)
