I'm now deciding my next DAC between those two but can't decide which one to get.

I would like to have an USB and a balanced outputs but I don't need them for now.

So it comes to their sound sig. Which one is "better"? I would like to have dynamic and yet clear presentation without any harshness in highs. The DAC should suit my MKIV SE tube-amp well and also has to serve SS-amp well if I change to SS someday.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I'm planning to buy Genelec's somewhere in the future and they could be driven straight from Beresford because of variable output. And also I'm not turning on my tube-amp for short listening so Beresford's headamp would also fit the bill.

No I haven't. I just heard that my friend is possibly selling his Zhaolu 2.5A so I'll probably buy that and maybe tweak it a little.

I don't know why but I'm not that fond of the Zhaolu. Please tell me how you like it. What about the Headroom micro DAC btw?
