I recently was gifted a pair of Beoplay h95s and I have been having the issue of a popping sound whenever I start or pause and music or video. Even after I claimed warranty and got a new pair, the problem continues to persist. I have tried pairing them with other iPhones but it doesn’t help. This makes no sense. I figured this is the perfect place for something like this.

Hi I am new here but I can share my similar experience with other bluetooth headphones.
My Creative SXFI Air also make a small popping sound when I turn them on/and when I turn them off. This is the sound of the amplification turning on and off. From my understanding some active headphones do this and some don't I assume because they are better designed.
The second part related to this, is with some of my bluetooth earphones which I use to listen to YouTube on tablet etc. In an attempt to be more power efficient these smaller bluetooth earphones will cut amplification power (basically like a sleep mode) after a few seconds of no audio signal (paused video etc) and then turn the amplification on again as soon as it detect audio signal (unpausing). It is also a very similar noticeable but quiet popping sound, and yes it happens much more often on the bluetooth earphones because of this "power saving feature" so I find it annoying. The model is JBL 215BT.
It sounds like this is what is happening with your H95.
I have a few more bluetooth earphones which exhibit the same power saving behaviour, except instead of a pop, it's simply hissing that goes away (sleep) and comes back (wake).
Personally I would find it an issue with such an expensive pair of bluetooth headphones such as Beoplay H95, but perhaps it is a "quirk" of that particular model I don't know. If anything I don't think you need to be concerned about any damage to the headphones or anything, it's just simply the noise of the amplification powering on being audible through the headphones drivers. With better designed headphones there should be a process that mutes the noise on startup.
