I've noticed on my setup my 2.5mm HE-400i's have a pretty significant drop in response below 35hz. Under 32, it goes completely dark. I currently run a TEAC UD-301, which I believe should have enough power for the headphones but I'm considering what I believe to be a good DAC/AMP for planar headphones. The reasoning being, I listen to my HE-400i's at about 12 o'clock now and the LCD-2 Classic's I'm picking up are about twice the resistance 35->70ish I believe. So I was thinking I need something with more power. This device has about .600amps of power I believe and if I'm reading it right, upwards of 7VRMS. This seems to be more than enough for a LCD-2 Classic but I'm curious of people's thoughts. I've heard this is a top quality DAC/AMP.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread..now that I see this. I'm not really looking for thoughts on an amp to pick. I'm more curious if my math and thought process is correct and curious if there is anyone that can validate what I'm thinking.
