This sounds like a great budget phono preamp, except for the hum problem. Have any owners out there noticed the hum problem, and has Bellari fixed it? Would I be better off with a non-tube preamp like the PP2? Thanks.
Mine hummed really bad when I purchased it, sent it back to Roll's and they fixed it. It no longer hums, but, I will say it is more prone to external emv and RI interference than any other phono preamp I have owned. When I live out in Colorado, I was very close to Look Out mountain were all the Denver TV and radio antennas are. It could pick up AM radio very well. Like I said, positioning and power cords will have an effect.
Wow, thanks for the recommendation. It seems that the VP129 and VP130 are nearly the same thing. The HP out and the tube are what really attracted me to this amp and I'm glad that it's getting decent reviews.
