u ll find an honest review from a guy on Bose SoundDock..which i think is a joke product at the price when compared to better sounding speaker systems like Harman Kardon Go Play.

i had similar experience at the time when i wasnt even into good audio.
even if it was priced half..i still wouldnt buy it...its so obviously muffled nonsensical.

the problem arises when people like the guy below comment on honest Bose reviews:

Bllyshears take to his review is yet another review that tries to bring down BOSE as a company. Simply put, Bose has made a great product, and it shouldn't be bashed just because of the name. Bose haters will say all that they want, but when it comes down to it, they produce quality products. I don't even find it prudent for me to have to review Bllyshears horrible review except to say that Bose SoundDock produces amazing sound quality. Hear it from a Sounddock owner. I love it, though I do believe it to be a little over priced.

It is interesting that on one hand, you claim to be an "audiophile" (which is doubtful), and on the other you admit that you do not buy Bose products, which leads us to assume you have never actually listened to this device, let alone listening to it in your own home or office.

It would seem to me that if you were indeed an "audiophile" as you claim, then you wouldnt even be wasting your time with any consumer grade audio gear; yet here you are reviewing items you have never dealt with.

It is also interesting to think of an "audiophile" as an iPod user. I somehow doubt that your oh so delicate sense of hearing doesnt seem to notice a the fact that by default, any sound you hear from your iPod has been sampled and quantized many times over, yet can notice a lack of quality in a product you have never actually heard.

I think that maybe you have missed the point of this device. It is not supposed to be any kind of reference standard audio device, it is a nifty little box that you plug your iPod in to when you want to fill a room with pretty good sounding audio.

Of course, as an audiophile, you knew that already.

its frustrating to see that people who have no idea or have never tried a product comment like that on a popular site where most people read.

other than that..they attack reviewer like Bose has paid them to do it...some kind of blind faith.

makes u wanna go upto such people and slap them hard so they realise they are being dumb.

sorry but i just couldnt resist....if u find this is the same old bashing then dont comment.

Coming from the darker reaches of the internet, this really doesn't surprise me. People will always think they are right typing a comment and refuse to believe otherwise. Look at youtube comments...

The best course of action is to just point it out to other people who will also find it funny and just have a laugh at their ignorance.

tl;dr: Hahahahaha!

I've used a Bosedock in my bedroom for several years. Not audiophile but for background music, I use it to fall asleep every night.

Bose has a place for gimmick music and simple units for the elderly but in their day, the Bose 901 II were a killer speaker when properly set up.

To each his own, as stated earlier some may like Bose while others do not. Just a matter of preference, like mrarroyo says: "Not Everyone Likes Chocolate" (Or was that jamato8?).
