Behringer Virtualizer/Edison-anyone tried them?

Hi i was thinking of buying a behringer virtualizer or edison for the amount of great functions they have, the room virtualizer especially sounds like a great idea for headphones, though my rs-1/ra-1 haven't arrived still.

Anyway has anyone got any thoughts on whether the virtualizer is better than software like dolby headphone, hearo player, 4 front headphones, etc? Also behringer make the edison stereo imager that sounds like a good idea, you can shift the image around making it wider or narrower, closer or further, deeper or shallower, etc. Anyone tried one of these or something similar, or knows if a crossfeed is still essential to use them? Also anyone know if the virtualizer can be used as a dac as well and if its good quality? Thanks a lot.
