Beginning a more serious interest in headphones

I've been an audiophile since the early '70s, but have recently taken a stronger interest in headphones. Currently, I'm interested in opinions on the Garage1217 Project Ember headphone amp as I'm giving this unit serious consideration for amping my headphones (Modified Fostex T50).

I have no knowledge of the headphone amp you are considering.
 
However, if you still have a working 70's to mid 80's vintage receiver, your headphone out should serve you well as an amp to drive hard to to drive cans--both dynamic and orthos.
