need help..i've been reading and googling alot regarding these hp. I just got my fiio e17.
i usually listen to all kinds from heavy(e.g. korn,manson,rammstein during my workout session) to meditational music or even classical(beethoven)..lol..i use my iphone with spotify at 360k/bits or sometimes just my itunes music, i do sometimes plug my e17 into my desktop via optical with astro headsets and senn hd518...to sum it up. i want a versatile headphone for upgrade.i'm a noob audiophile..

Do you like a brighter. detailed sound?   Q701
Or a warmer sound?     this is what HD650 gives you
Or some bass and treble boost?    this is what DT990 gives you, some describe this as a fun sounding headphone
Flat?  DT880 may be your phone

The Q701 is pretty neutral and accurate really. It really isn't overly bright or harsh. It's smooth and detailed with just a touch of warmth. 
 
The HD650 in comparison is warmer and darker.
 
The HD600 is closer to neutral than the HD650. I've never tried any of the Beyers.
