Which is better? 
I'm surprised by the amount of positive feedback the solo 2s are getting from non beats fans.

the HD 25-II should be better. The solo 2, though relatively good sounding, has a blown up mid bass that bleeds quite heavily into the mids, and a rolled off treble. The sound is also closed in and is very thick and slow.
