Beatles Remasters......Anticipation AND Confusion

I am all the way stoked, kids. I've stayed out of the "which version is the definitive version" game until now, and simply enjoyed the albums because they were the Beatles. The mono set (plus the stereo only albums) should, hopefully, end my slight nagging worries about how much better it could be if I sold my car and spent 12 hours a day stalking Japanese auction sites and Indian garage sales looking for the perfect pressings.

Is it not a wise thing to do? I wish someone had told me earlier so I would still have a car.

I really want to get the newly modernized mixes. I'm not a purist for the past methods of extreme stereo mixing. If the first review or any internet samples show that it will sound modern, I will instantly purchase the stereo box set

Well, at least you didn't take out a second mortgage on your house in order to buy a rare Beatles record pressed out of moon dust that was brought back on Apollo 11.
