I am shocked that at LEAST one pink floyd song did not make the list. Songs such as Time, Comfortably Numb, Hey You, Pigs, Have a Cigar, etc. all have great riffs. I was also surprised to see that Nirvana, although I like the band, was so high. Kurt may have been a good song writer but he was anything but a good guitarist.

Just my thoughts on the list.

I generally think lists such as these miss the point entirely, but this one is pretty good actually. Except that I would have liked to have seen Led Zep populate the list almost entirely, with AC/DC and Van Halen take up the remaining spots

You know which one I mean. It's used in the Terminator II film when Arnie is in the bikers bar.

Another one. Perhaps not a riff, but excellent all the same. The start of WE WILL ROCK YOU by QUEEN. It's good on CD but on VInyl it's teeth rattling and earth shattering bass just bring a great big grin to my face!

Come on! These guys have forgotten their musicial history. Where would be be without the "Bo Diddley" riff?

That's a great idea, though, the greatest riff. Recently someone was complaining about Nirvana's lack of solos. Come on, dude. It's all about those riffs. Amazing how, with all the musical combinations and variations that can possibly exist, you can hear a couple chord riff and BAM instantly know a song and be rocking with it.
