We need a reviewer of similar dedication and objectivity to create a new ranking like this. Currawong is pretty close in ability, but the actual crafting of this review catalog must have taken weeks.
Maybe we should make a gofundme for someone to do this? Pay them to take a week off of work...

I think we are talking a year and a half of dedicated work for this one super review, paid from own pocket, done at own time, so in total costing a lot in terms of time, money, and even health. DAMN biggest hero of this forum, ever!

Yeah, it takes at least two weeks to get good impressions of a headphone, but that doesn't mean we can't dream!

When I joined Head-Fi, a long time ago, I was lucky to stumble onto this thread early-on. Learned a lot by reading David's reviews ... including what HPs I wanted to pursue. Never looked back - still own the HD800 and the current Audez'e flagship LCD-4 to this day.

There isn't anything better than what has been written in this thread. Abyss TC will be placed in top 5 to 15th spot. Susvara in the top 5 and all the others like utpoia, LCD4, are scatter around the top 10 to 20 spot.

HE1 has been written to be inferior to the HE90
and other STAXS will take the remaining top 5 spots. 009S and eventually the new Omega in 2023 etch will be 3 and 4th spot takeovers..

I had a lot of mix opinions on the raal. It should be top 1 to 6
Mysphere suck. I wasnt impress. I used it with the WA33 and still didnt like it.

This list is soo cheap and unfair. Electrostatic is just a superior technology and everything barely holds on.

Why is Mysphere bad? I can't comprehend it!

similar to RAAL, its the headband issue. the right placement to your ear. The right Amps.

Boiling it down, its the adjustment to your ear. I dont have time to play around every time to get the perfect spot. And when you do the sound is thin and more adjustment is needed.

Flipping around spots and changing this or that. Technically this is it. You can sprinkle a ZMF or a Dans headphones in here too. Change the Arya with the HE1000SE, flip the TC with a Diana or HD800S with the HD800. Throw in a TH900MK2 and replace the HD650. The question is, whats better than a $200 HD650?

Realistically the thread is bad. It makes no sense. One headphone can be hated, while others love it.

If a non headfier arrives here. They will ask wheres my favorite headphone, Apple Airpod MAX? No beats, no M50X? No Airpods?
What a complete trash thread.

We can't make everyone happy. Even the list I listed, I rather listen to W10VTG. A headphone that will never be in the top 20 spot. But I like it.
