Just wonder if you guys go to a barber or hair stylist? I have been going to the same barber for quite a few years. He knows my hair and does a great job. I went to get a haircut the other day. I found out Enzo would be out due to back surgery for almost two months. Panic. I ended up at a stylist. She did a good job, but no Enzo. Also it $17 vs. $11.

My best friend goes to a hair stylist, because he likes women playing with his hair not a guy. Back in the day when I had hair I liked the barber the best, because you could argue about sports, and everybody knew what you were talking about.

Back when I had hair, I used to frequent an old-school style barbershop. It was great - like going back in time. Almost all the barbers were over 60. There was one young woman who had a chair there too, but I learned to avoid getting her. The old guys just had a certain "je ne se quois". There's nothing like a razor neck trim. When I felt like spurging, I'd even get a full face shave. Man, talk about feelin' like a million bucks afterward! A "stylist" won't do that.

Now I shave my head myself, so I don't go anymore. But I miss it.

What would "Supercuts" be considered? They sure don't do any styling of my hair, and it costs $11.00. But we don't get to talk sports.

I've rarely gotten a good haircut from a woman; they just don't know how to use clippers correctly.

I prefer a barber.

Neither, I have buzzed my head myself for the last 6 years.

I grew up going to a barber. Then I went to univeristy and started going to a hair stylist. I felt there was a difference in the quality of the cut (more hip I guess) and the quality of the service (tea, coffee, cookies, bagles, massages). However, when I started working with the government I began buzz cutting my hair. Eventually I just whipped out the trusty razor and now I shave to the skin.

Super Cuts for me. It is on the way to work and she knows how I like the hair that I have left. The longest when she is done is the width of her fingers. I still remember the barber shop where I grew up. It was like Floyd's in Mayberry. Men would sit around and have a coffee and talk. A great place to spend an hour or so.

I always went to a barber in my hometown. Old-timey feel, nice old guy doing the cutting. Up here in Raleigh, I just go to, I think it's Supercuts, in the mall. It's convenient, only $12, and they do a decent job.

i just got my hair cut by a stylist for the first time last week, but only because i have senior pictures next week. i've been letting my hair grow alot lately, and all i've ever had my barber do is take it down to an inch. i thought a stylist might be better this time, but i've used the same barber for ten years now.

Barber for me... is cheaper... mostly have my head as good as shaved anyway... so not a lot to actually 'style'

Barber all the way for me! High and tight up the back and sides, with just enough to part on the top. I have been going to the same two guys for almost 15 years now. ****, they even have pictures of dogs playing poker on the wall; how cool is that?

I have A LOT of hair to style, but whichever I go to the result is the same. It seems to be a choice between Bruce Lee bouffant semi-mullet (or if I'm feeling REALLY adventurous, sans mullet) and Nuclear Mushroom.
