Bang & Olfusen are known for making great speakers. I know that have made headphones as well, A8 and form 2. Do anyone here have experience with them and know how good they are?

I didn't know they made good speakers.

I'd stay away from those headphones. I agree with those above who say that in that price range there are much better options. What exactly are you looking for in a headphone? Give us some criteria and we can spit out some good options that you can search around for.

B&O aren't known for making good speakers or good headphones. B&O are made for making products with attractive designs.

For the same price, you can get stuff that sounds much better (and sometimes looks good, too

I'm looking for headphones that spread sound well (good soundstage). Very good and relaxed sound quality. No cushion around the ears but sould lie directly on the ears so that the ears are not shut in.

I still think B&O make good speakers. As I've noticed people seem to have very different taste.

I wnet in and tried out the B&O headphones (both of them), mainly because the sales girl is super hot! They sound like a thirty dollar pair of headphones...at least I wouldn't pay any more htan that. They were very shallow and had no warmth.

Do the big speakers sound good? they sound OK in the studio built to display them, but you can buy SO MUCH MORE with the money from other manufactures. I stand by the above poster's that B&O are still around because they make a product that looks cool (and I think their stuff looks really cool) but Iwould NEVER buy anything they made. Whith the exception of the Beogram linear turntable. I wold buy one of those in a heartbeat if I found one not horribly overpriced.

Sennheiser MX500's are good. They don't do much for style, though. These are regarded as sounding pretty good around here, and they look pretty good too. If you want a ripoff of the B&O's for less, these aren't bad either. You can do a search and find some more info about the Audio Technica's, someone did a review or a mini-review on them a while ago.

I tried B&O form 2 today and I can say that the sound is OK. The sound spread (soundstage) is a bit poor though. I think the comfort of the form 2 is not good at all. They sit too tight on the head and the contact area is too small.

I also tested Sony MDR-CD380 and they sounded pretty good. Good soundstage and comfort. I will try out Sony MDR-CD580 later on. It looks like Sony has the best soundstage so far in my opinion.

The Sennheiser HD580 / HD600 have a great soundstage and a relaxed sound. You may enjoy them, they are worth checking out.

But if you buy the B&O headphones at least you can say they look cool.
