Is it just me? But going into some 'lifestyle' shops and asking for a banana stand causes incredulous stares in my general direction.

They said "well, we've got these baskets and ceramic bowls...", and my reply "no you see, a headphone is not going to hang on them" was on my tongue but I quickly realised before I said it that this might cause the shop assistants to call the men with the white coats.

Where the hell do I find a banana stand like the guys in the US are using for nice headphone stands in the UK? Anyone? Thanks very much in advance!!

I remember seeing something in good ol' Woolies the other week.

Dont think it was a banana stand, maybe a mug holder but it looked right for headphones..

A lady in a shop here in Spain said she thought someone would have me committed if I carried on asking about the availability of banana stands...

I ran out of there and bought the kitchen roll stand which I later modded. Seemed safer than being institutionalised in Malaga....

I never thought these were any use, until I saw the ones that Jpelg brought for the Frakengrado-Superadaptor Meet. REally handy. He said he got them for a buck a piece here in the states. Maybe you could find out if the vendor also sells in the UK.

They cost anything between 2 bucks Canadian and 15. Some of the guys in the US were buying them for $1 US a piece...

I just broke down and got my mom to get one from Linens N Things in the US. I had her get one, but then I got the dt531's so now I need another. That one is one the way.

Right now I've got the senn 600s and dt531s on the same hanger, which actually does work.

I bet the company that makes these is thinking there's an upswing in banana consumption!
