Hi
I'm currently using a Audio-gd NFB 11.28 to run my Fidelio X2's, but it had two incidents with it. Once it shorted the USB +5v and GND but the problem fixed itself somehow, another time it restarted itself. I do not trust this device anymore.
So I'm looking for another amp+dac or amp-dac combo to carry my headphones. I rather buy a amp that's of quality incase i desire to change headphones down the line.
What gear have as of now:
ASUS Xonar U7 MkII, it serves to connect my mic and as a DAC to avoid using USB directly to NFB 11.28.
Emotiva XDA-2 that runs ballanced to XPA-1's that run my PC speakers.
I'm thinking of the Cambride DacMagic Plus just for the versatility of the unit, if it lacks power i can always add a Schiit Jotunheim down the line or some similar product?
Budget: lets say 500usd, but if reliability and quality of a certain unit justifies more then I'll spend more.
Happy holidays!
